This in person group training, offered once a year, is our most affordable option for studying Reiki in person. Students have celebrated the trust that grew amongst them as they studied together over the course of several months, as well as how much they gained from hearing about each other’s experiences.
Offered one Saturday each month, this option is great for students who may work full-time or have other commitments during the week.

Reiki I: Healing Self, Family & Friends
This three month course will lay the ground work that will carry you through your work with Reiki, whether you reserve it for yourself, friends and family, or advance on to offer it professionally. Broken up into digestible pieces, this program is designed to nurture your confidence and skill in using Reiki.
Our class will meet as a group once a month to receive instruction in principles and techniques, and have ample time to practice. Students have the option to receive one-on-one mentoring with Sarah once each month. During this time, students can ask questions, practice techniques, or receive Reiki. Additionally, students can refine their skills at monthly Reiki Shares. In order to receive their Reiki I certificate, students will be required to demonstrate their proficiency with basic table sessions, and have logged at least eight practice sessions. Many of these practice sessions can be completed during class, Reiki Shares, and mentoring sessions, though students should still plan to complete some practice sessions outside of class time. Once students are ready, they will each schedule a certification appointment to complete their Reiki I training.

Reiki Shares
Join us for community, clearing, and practice of your Reiki skills. If you have been attuned to at least Reiki I, with any teacher or lineage, you are welcome to join us! The first half hour of our gathering will be open for questions and sharing of experiences in working with Reiki. The remaining hour and a half with be devoted to giving and receiving Reiki with each other. This is a great time for a tune-up, to gain more experience, and connect with others. For students actively studying Reiki with Embrace Your Essence, Reiki Shares are included in their tuition. For all other attendees, there is a suggested donation of $10–20. Shares are typically offered once a month on the third Wednesday of the month in person. Every quarter the share will be held remotely over Zoom. Check out our schedule for more details.

Entrance Interviews for Students from Another Lineage
If you have studied Reiki with another teacher or lineage (view my lineage here), and you would like to continue your training with Embrace Your Essence, we will need to met before the class to ensure you have also learned the core material that is taught in our program. Please bring any certificates and manuals you may have received, as well as let me know the teacher(s) with whom you have studied and their lineage. I may ask you questions or have you demonstrate your skills to better understand where you are in your Reiki journey. If there are only minor discrepancies, we may be able to fill those gaps during our meeting, and you will be able to join us for the class you are interested in. If you were initially attuned from another lineage, we may do re-attunements which incorporate the modern symbols that are used in our lineage. This will ensure your energy system is harmonized with their frequency, and allow you to cleanse your energy system again. It does not, in any way, undermine any attunements you have already received. If it is determined that there are significant differences between your previous Reiki classes and those taught by Embrace Your Essence, it will be suggested that you audit the recommended classes, or come in for a mentoring session before moving on.
