Our one-on-one in person Reiki training allows you to study on your own timeline, and receive undivided attention. As such, the program can be tailored to your needs and interests, and can be started at anytime during the year.
Classes are scheduled during the week at times we agree upon.

Reiki I: Healing Self, Family & Friends
This course (typically done over a period of three months) will lay the ground work that will carry you through your work with Reiki, whether you reserve it for yourself, friends and family, or advance on to offer it professionally. Broken up into digestible pieces, this program is designed to nurture your confidence and skill in using Reiki.
We will meet in person once a month for you to receive instruction in principles and techniques, and so you can have ample time to practice. Reiki Shares are scheduled every month, allowing you time to refine your skills with a group of other Reiki students and practitioners. In order to receive your Reiki I certificate, you will be required to demonstrate your proficiency with basic table sessions, and have logged at least eight practice sessions. Many of these practice sessions can be completed during class, Reiki Shares, and mentoring sessions, though you should still plan to complete some practice sessions outside of class time. Once you are ready, you can schedule a certification appointment to complete your Reiki I training.
There are two options for taking one-on-one courses: Supported Learner, or Independent Learner. The packages are the same, with the exception that the Supported Learner option includes three 45 minute mentoring session (one for each part of the program). During these mentoring sessions, you can come in to ask questions, practice techniques, and/or receive Reiki.

Reiki II: Expanding Your Reach
This course (typically done over a period of three months) will enhance your ability to let the Reiki energy flow, heighten your ability to sense energy, and teach the sacred symbols and techniques for distance healing. Segmented for steady, and long-lasting integration, this program was developed to help you apply Reiki with greater depth, breadth and potency.
We will meet privately about once a month to give you instruction in principles and techniques, and plenty of time to practice. Reiki Shares are scheduled every month to allow you additional time to refine your skills with other Reiki students and practitioners. Reiki Master Practitioner: Privilege & Responsibility
This course (typically done over a period of four months) will prepare you for sharing Reiki with the world on a profound level. You will have an expansive connection to the flow of Reiki energy, learn the master symbols, how to adapt sessions to your clients' needs, additional energy work techniques, and receive a workbook for developing a practice. Some students take this course to experience a rich, full relationship with the Reiki energy in their lives, while others do so in preparation to practice professionally. (As this is a Master Practitioner course, one will NOT be taught how to do attunements and teach others how to do Reiki.) This Master Practitioner course is structured to deepen your ability to serve and support others with integrity and prowess, while still taking good, honest care of yourself.

Reiki Shares
Join us for community, clearing, and practice of your Reiki skills. If you have been attuned to at least Reiki I, with any teacher or lineage, you are welcome to join us! The first half hour of our gathering will be open for questions and sharing of experiences in working with Reiki. The remaining hour and a half with be devoted to giving and receiving Reiki with each other. This is a great time for a tune-up, to gain more experience, and connect with others. For students currently studying Reiki with Embrace Your Essence, Reiki Shares are free. For all other attendees, there is a suggested donation of $10–15. Shares are typically offered once a month on the third Wednesday of the month in person. Every quarter the share will be offered remotely via Zoom. Check out our schedule for more details.
Mentoring Sessions
Mentoring sessions offer students of Embrace Your Essence the one-on-one support to develop their skills or practice. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, explore issues that are coming up in practice, review techniques, and more. Mentoring sessions are included in the "Supported Learner" option for taking the one-on-one training. Otherwise, mentoring sessions can be scheduled a la carte as needed.
